Set Your Intention
Stand deliberately upon this Earth
For you are a bridge between Earth and Sky.
Open to the current of your breath,
Expand your awareness beyond the boundaries of your skin.
You are a child of the infinite.
Limitless possibilities await your choice.
Awaken to a new version of yourself;
Cultivate both strength and softness,
For you will find Freedom in the balance.
Become ever more skilled, taking care in refinement,
But remember always to honour that which is Primary:
Let Joy be your guide, founded in Integrity.
Dance upon the Edge and Laugh there;
Your bravery revealing the child within.
Honour your True Self by giving yourself permission to grow and play;
Play and discover who you choose to be.
And then re-discover the world through new eyes.
The new version of you that you are becoming;
The one you want to be
Already lives within you.
Step up and live this ideal;
Be a deeper, clearer You in this Now.
You are a child of the infinite.

Katrina, my dear friend, this is so beautiful! I love also the image of the butterfly which represents the intention to be something so beautiful and radiant. It takes a lot of courage and bravery for the butterfly to become such a lovely creation. But that is what I feel we all are; caterpillars waiting to blossom into grace! Just set the intention and it will happen! Thank you for sharing this poem of grace! It has inspire me more in my intentions! 🙂

Katrina, thank-you so much for this! Very pertinent to my current expansion! I have a butterfly w/ a flower tattooed on my right shoulder blade, so I feel very connected to your message and my current state of transition. We are bridges between the Earth and the Sky, and we are all unique, and we have to stand deliberately on Earth in order to share our gifts. I haven’t been standing deliberately on Earth this past while, and it’s time I do so again. I like how you say “…The one you want to be already lives within you. Step up and live this ideal; Be a deeper, clearer You in this Now.”
A Buddhist prayer I recently came upon:
“Let me respectfully remind you; Life and Death are of supreme importance; Time swiftly passes by and opportunity is lost; Each of us should strive to Awaken, Awaken; Take heed, do not squander your life.”
and a quote from a horsemanship guru, Tom Dorrance:
“You have to give something you never gave to get something you never had.”
